You don’t have to go thru a text editor… just export the file as a tab delimited text file from Excel.

How are you exporting to Compressor (it’s a Compressor 2.0.1 running in FCP 5.0.4?). Did you install Shake 4.1 on that same setup?

How was the array formatted? for Mac? I’d think you can replace the drives without any problem…

Also… Use Compressor to make the upconversion from DV to HD… There’s a preset for this in the “Advanced Format Conversions” submenu.

Paul’s suggestion is a good one, but if you have AJA’s Kona 3 or Decklink’s Multibridge you can capture this material and cross convert during the capture.

You’ll need to capture the DV material as 29.97, then remove the pulldown as a file conversion. Only in the 24pa mode (2:3:3:2) can the pulldown be removed during capture. You can remove the pulldown in Cinema Tools… see page 119 in the online help for Cinema tools for the process… it’s pretty easy.
You’ll also need to convert these files to DVCPROHD or render them as you put them in a sequence.

Good point, might talk to AJA about the possibility, but say you bought a Kona 3… you’d be supplied with only the Kona 3 drivers and codecs and certainly not the ones that you’d need for the Media 100.

I’d say AppleCare is a must for sure… there’s likely an Apple VAR near you. might look in your phonebook? (I couldn’t find a list on Apple’s site) You can buy applecare from any reseller or online too. I’d buy direct from Apple, or in one of the Apple stores or a VAR. (Value added reseller)…

Might Call Boris about it… there’s a patch for 5.1 systems, but it’s unclear if it will work with an intel machine…
