720p to 1080i conversion, the best way?
If someone in the know could advise me… I need to use a bit of 720p stock in a 1080i project in FCP, is resizing and rendering the best option to convert 720 to 1080 or is there something I’m missing. It seems to look OK?

The highest quality method to use is through Compressor.

Paul’s suggestion is a good one, but if you have AJA’s Kona 3 or Decklink’s Multibridge you can capture this material and cross convert during the capture.
