i have a lacie 500 gig and it goes to sleep after a few minutes. i’ve tried the energy settings deal and still no luck.
a little bit of a bummer.
i’ll try to contact lacie and see what they say.

i use motion. you can make a really nice title very quickly. my clients have been more than satisfied with the titles i make in motion in just 5 minutes

by the way…
the encoding options are located in the “importing” tab in itunes… -
go into your preferences in itunes and set the encoding option to “aiff”. Then control click on the song in your library and go down to convert song to “aiff”. This will get rid of the popping.

You need to change your capture settings to non-contollable device.
click the capture settings tab, then choose non-controllable device from the device control pop-up menu.

i don’t know about the sync problem, but i had the same interlace problem and i just turned the “field dominance” to “none” in the export settings and it looked great.
