    Editing wmv and mpeg in FCP5

    I have a bunch of .wmv and .mpg files that I need to edit in FCP. I know that both formats are not supported for editing. For the life of me I cannot find an encoder that will encode these two file types into a type that I can edit. Does anyone know of an encoder that would help me with my problem?

    I also recently got a couple of files from a client which where encoded in Sorenson Squeeze Suite 4 with the 1mbps stream.mov preset. Even tho it’s a mov file it still doesn’t want to import into FCP. Can I/do I have to re-encode these files as well?
