Separate amps for the ‘tweets’ and ‘woofers’ or one of the ‘highs’ and one for the ‘lows’. This usually translates to better sound as the amps are tailored to different frequencies.

Plug your mic into the mic input your analog mixer, plug your line out mixer into the product above, plug the AES XLR input of the kona 2, change the audio input to XLR in the control panel, and record away. I have this product and it works very well.

You CAPTURE settings should still be 29.97 (since that is the frame rate that the tape is running). There’s also a tick box to remove advanced pulldown from dv25/dv50 sources. Your SEQUENCE settings should be at 23.98 and you should need not have to render.

I guess I was thinking as using this format as a transfer medium between the d.p., the edit house, the graphics shop, and perhaps the client to take with them at the end of a shoot rather than a permanent storage solution. I’d much rather send off a couple of $40 cartridges than a $2000 p2 card or four.

I have the exact same problem. NO matter how many times I save, save as default, whatever, it still reverts back to the factory presets.

Hmm, that iomega product seems to be the best solution I’ve seen yet.

It reminds me when we used to pass files between our motion graphics guy and our edit shop, pre-firewire drives.
