how much RAM,Hard disk i need?
Well, you want at LEAST 1 gigabyte per cpu core, as for hard disk… video files can get quite large.. so the more HD you have, the less headaches you’ll get later (I would suggest something with the SATA interface, if you can afford it maybe some SCSI HD’s @10,000 RPM for faster access… but minimum 7200 RPM no less (5400 is cheap, but SLOOOOOW)

what Grafic Card i need?
something that works decent. I like the nVidia 8600 GTS/OC – fairly priced for the features, and it supports overclocking from the factory – dont do this without good cooling..

i have pinnacle RT is doest it work?

i need render to be much faster
cpu with multiple cores (or multiple cpu’s with multiple cores)

also have heard good things about “Gridiron Nucleo/pro”

on a budget? find a bunch of old pc’s and learn about render farms..

im not quite sure if this will work, but you could try the following:

get your ground/rock/whatever and precompose it, then go into the precomp, apply shatter (maybe glass preset?) play with the settings until it looks right…
then scroll through the timeline until it looks about as “cracked” as you need (probably only .5-1.5 seconds into the shatter animation)
then when you have the timeline indicator where you want it, go back to the main comp and trim the end of the precomp to the current time indicator…

move around as needed.. and that *SHOULD* in theory work..

Im a pc guy myself, but I think the question you should as is do you NEED the upgrade currently? It may be worth just setting the money aside, and when you need the upgrade, then look at the current models, you may find that the machine you get then for the same price is 10x better than the one you’re looking at..

Thats what happened with my dual core cpu I have now.. I wanted a really nice machine 2 yrs ago, but put the money aside and got this dual core this year. I was MUCH happier with the new cpu than what I was looking at before would have made me.

AE has 2 options built in under color correction. Dunno if they’ll work being that black is in peoples hair, etc..

Color correction -> Change Color
Color correction -> Change Color To

just guessing here – but you might be able to export it as an adobe pdf and load that into AE – i’m not sure how well it would work – but it’s the first thing I would do if I was in your situation.

I don’t know much about FCP, but general knowledge of computers and MEMORY would indicate that quicktime’s losing the battle during playback.. have you tried playing it on a different computer and see if it suffers the same problem?

I’ve noticed on particularly large files, quicktime player starts to suffer, or lags even with my 2gigs…

Just a thought..

I can’t answer about techniques, but after toying with keying for a bit, Keylight is probably the plugin you’re going to need…

They have a demo license on there, but I don’t remember what the demo’s limitation is.

Don’t get me wrong tho.. it’s $420 US.. but it’s never failed me *grins*
