I always target 8,500,000 and whaen the content goes over 1:40:00 I switch to VBR 2-pass. Most of my DVD’s have subtitles and some have secondary audio. So a good bit-rate calculator come in handy. I never burn a master faster than 4x, that could have helped raise the failure rate on the PLAYO DVD’s.

I got the Seminar Series when I upgraded. It is a great resource, not just for the 3D, but all the new features. I highly recommend it.

had the same problem when I was on Vista. It would stop and refuse to go until I clicked on the next one. It happens on all the unicode fonts, like Arial. I guess it was fixed in Windows 7.

You can find a script called renderimagesequence.js in this archive. There are some older non-functional one in here, but some good stuff.\
For better quality choose png (as opposed to jpg) and you will have to calculate how many min, sec, and frames are in you interval.

OK guys,
I did a render test on a project that had 24 tracks, 31 pieces of media, alpha channels, compositing, parent motion, gradient fades, etc.
I had an amazing 76% speed increase on Vegas 10a over 9e. It almost cut the time in half. I tested a few times and averaged the results.
I was as fair as I could be with both versions, same project, template, destination. I am impressed.

There is a lot to be said for twin Cards that are not SLI’d. First I have 2 systems set up this way. Vegas 10 on one, AE on the other. Both systems have Windows 7 64 bit. Each have 2 monitors (2-1920×1080 & 2-1680×1050). In win7 each core can offload ‘routine’ math to the GPU, and it doesn’t matter which GPU when it has access multiple ones. So even before we fire-up our favorite video program we already have an increase in overall system speed.
Second, having both monitors plugged into the same card will definitely impact graphics performance on any machine.
John is absolutely correct in saying that “buying a better video card” is a better choice, if you have a single monitor.
Since I need all the screen real estate I can get, I will never build a system with less than 2 video cards driving 2 monitors.
