Only if the external drive is esata or usb 3.0. Otherwise the interface slows it down. If you have a usb2 drive your better off taking out the drive and making it an internal drive.

I don’t know enough about CC, but I did try a few things. I found the same methods work if the text is “abcdef” so my bet would be that the captioning needs to know that you are using double-byte characters. Look around for a setting or command that changes the font to a unicode one such as Arial Unicode MS or Lucida Sans Unicode.

I didn’t mean imply that you don’t know how to nest a project, just that I do it all the time and never heard of the error you were describing.
I did download your zip file and tested it out and the audio was indeed missing. Then, I opened your project file (instead of nesting it) and saved it to a new project name copying the media with it. When I nested the one I save it worked correctly. Something is clearly different between our two computers.
I wish I could help you out, but this is over my head.

I nest projects all the time. Sometimes 2 deep. I’ve not had a problem with version 10a yet. Have you checked the mute and solo switches on your audio tracks in the nested projects?

There are thousands of audio/video combinations that work just fine in Vegas. Two source programs which don’t work well are Fraps and Camtasia. My guess is that you are sampling your audio at 48KHz. Try changing the sampling rate from 48KHz to 44.1KHz. See if that works.

This is nearly my system except I have 2 GTX260’s, My RAM is Kingston, and my system drive is an OCZ-SSD. Overall some speed improvements that are well worth it.
The P6T MB Fabio mentioned is more expensive that the P6X58D, but I can’t see anything that makes it better.
Remember to cool the CPU well. The stock coolers that ship with Intel are junk.
