The file listere under Fault Module: C:Windows/system32/amdocl64.dll

Belongs to your video card driver for open CL runtime.
It is made by AMD, not Sony.

  • There are a few little icons along the right side of the color wheel windows. They look like a clock face at 5 o’clock. Click on it to get the keyframe window.

As far as number 1 is concerned, yes. Vegas has the ability to use proxy files while editing. You can also bypass filters and effects while editing. Vegas also recognizes prores 444 and 422 files, so no problem there. You might want to be aware of this batch render post, it can generate batch files for external rendering. https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/951534

Concerning item 2 and the individual files, the recent batch render post will help you out. As far as exporting an xml file to work with on FCP, I don’t know of any way to accomplish this, but others here may have more experience with cross platform editing.

Is this due to trial edition restrictions?

Try switching to the Sony AVC codec. I’m not at work, so I can’t look up my settings. But play with it, you’ll get good results.

    Cole,

I agree with John, Sony AVC is a good choice. WMV is a waste of time.

Make your text in a png with transparent background in a graphic editor. Make a second copy of the same text with a stroke only, or in photoshop a new layer. Layer them over whatever footage you want. Make the stroke visible and use a mask in pan crop to expose over time the portions of the fill layer.

No, no, no, don’t install a codec pack. The always make trouble for Vegas and any other video editing platform.

I use Sony’s AVC codec. I’ve not had any problems with it.

Give more details about the crash… What was the cause? Who was the culprit? (it should be in the error message or the windows event logs.)
