Then make sure the program window isn’t “Maxamized” (but in the “restore” mode) and stretch it across both screens so that it fills up both monitors space.

There was a tutorial about “Adding Z Depth” to your logo and It worked for me by letting me take a round logo (coin shaped) and was able to give it a little thickness. and spin it

    I think it’s here https://www.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/page_wrapper.cgi?forumid=2&page=/articles/kahlenberg_roland/3d_logo_extrude/index.html

Can you create a new solid (solid #2) that has the bigger areas. then replace it with the origional solid.

click on the layer you want to replace. goto your solids folder in your bin and while holding down ALT drag it onto the solid you want to replace in your time line. That should keep the effectes, transisionsm, and masks in place and just replace the material.

September 2, 2005 at 10:24 pm in reply to: Countdown clock with production info template

I’ve seen a variety of templates from very elaborate to extremely simple (font over black) it’ll mainly depend on what you want it to say. Some spots may have.

    Spot name: jojo-cola
    company for: Spiffy cola inc
    Spot title: “Jojo Super Thirst”
    Duration: :30, :60, 2x:30

    Producer:Jane Smith
    Director:Jack Hadly
    Videographer:Shannon Marker
    Editor: Mark Camermill

You’re production company and contact info in the backgrond.

the the animation can be a simple countdown, 10 > 0 or a circlewipe 10 > 0 , or maybe some spiffy morphing of the numbers

or just 30 seconds of bars&tone 1 seconds of black and then the spot.

It doesn’t have to have all of that. it’s upto you.

    My own openion:

When I get a spot tape, I’ll look at the case to see what the spot is. (milk, insurance company, car delaership).

on the slate I’m mainly interested in the spot’s name/title and the duration. (southern insurance, 30)
If there’s a countdown of 10 – 2, 1 sec of black then the spot. that helps me out all the more.

hope that give you some insight. I”m sure some of the other cowers may have different methods/rulesets for their slates.

sorry I don’t have an answer for you as far as keyframes. I’ve usually played with them till I found a setting that I like.

There yave been many many many threads here about ayato’s tutorials you might want to search for “ayatoweb” and see what turns up.

I had a question and emailed him once and he replied back within 24 hours. (mind you he’s japanese and his
english is very basic. but he was able to convey the information that I needed.)

hope that helps ya in some way

if the settings for animation are “million” it’s straight up video.

if it’s “million+” it can also contain an alpha channel (for keying over other footage)

if you are talking about the ability to ctrl-click that layer to select all within that layer. I can still do it with my version of PS-CS it hasn’t changed for me.
