I have a 30second piece of video of a crowd cheering that I need to stretch out to a minute. I went into “Interpret Footage” and told it to loop 2 times. No problem…

    Here’s my problem:

The end of the clip has 1 second of black which is showing up at the 30 second mark and again at the end of the looped footage (aka my crowd dissapears for a second)

I thought I could pull up the clip and edit it’s in & out points but I still have the first loop going to black at the 30 second mark in my loopd video.

Any way to fix this in AE or will I need to actually edit the black out of the clip with a NLE (or AE and rerender it down)

    Thanks
    Jeff

    Several ways to do it.

One would simply be to NOT have it loop: Open a comp, drop in the first piece….go to the frame before the first frame of black, then simply drop another copy of the same footage on top of it in the timeline starting at that single frame before the black. At the end of the 2nd piece, where the black is about to start simply drag the layer end point back or hit +] (on PC).

In essence you have made a segment consisting of your footage, looped twice, only without the black.

That is 1 down and dirty way to do it……….

You’re right that’d do exactly what I need. Guess my brain hasn’t woken up yet.

    Thanks Bro.
