Excellent input dude ! Just checked the thread coz I was having this issue.
I already thought it might be more a thumbnail issue than an file offline issue
but did not know how to solve this.
You Solved it.
Thanks

August 1, 2010 at 8:53 am in reply to: subtitles in dvd studio pro subtitles from bell nuitYes I tried. Apparently DVDSP doesn’t recognize srt files. But if U paste them in a text file he does. So I did it, U can even edit the text files inside of DVDSP then. The problem is the fonts then look even worse than the exported graphic files from belle nuit. Am I missing something in SDVDPRO ? I mean maybe there is an antialiasing function somewhere ? Of course I would rather import text files because then I could correct not only duration of titles but also typographic errors.

Everybody seems to have a different explanation ! Funny ! I just highlight the layer in the timeline then highlight the new source in the project select press on it and then only press alt an drag it onto the new one.
This is for a Mac.

November 25, 2009 at 3:43 am in reply to: Problems with Spanned footage over two cards shot on Sony EX3I had the same problem with spanned files, mainly because I did not import directly from the camera with the two cards being spanned importing at the same time (I just got a bunch of cards with no indication of order or camera A or B). Somehow, I could not find one of the incomplete clips matching the smi file, and even with the incomplete clip + smi files for another spanned clip xdcam transfer would come up with a ” not enough disk space” error message, so…. There is still a snag in Don’s procedure. Its not because it did not happen to him that it won’t happen to U…
I then went back to the manual (never forget the manual guys…) and noticed that smi files had child clips, to see them U go into the logging menu and then to subclips in the right window. Actually all smi files seem to be split in several child clips, wich are somehow equivalent to subclips but unlike the subclips U can’t erase them. U then select the child clips of Ur smi files in the subclip menu and import them. This is how I got around the problem. Hope It will help some others. This is when something went wrong in the importing process and if U can’t go back or have no time to. For the rest I would stick to Don’s procedure.
Best to all.

Actually after downloading a 4,8 mb zip and fumbling around to find some infos. You finally get the answer : They say check out this link
https://www.borisfx.com/products/OpenGL.php to see if U r card is compatible. Actually its nos so mac friendly altogether. If U have latest
open gl drivers doesnt matter its just that macbooks for instance are not compatible. I am disapointed I must say.

I got this answer from boris this morning :
Le 6 août 09 à 15:26, Boris FX Technical Support Team a écrit :Jean,
The graphics card you are running(Intel GMA X3100) Is not supported for the
level of shader technology needed for some of the effects in BCC (3D objects
and BCS). There is information on graphics card support here:https://www.borisfx.com/download_files/BCCAE6ReleaseNotes.zip
Thanks
Matt
Boris SupportPretty much settles the case.
