Hi I am just starting a new workflow with subtitles in DVD studio pro here. Before I used to do them in FCPRO, but since I worrk in HD and produce piece longer thean twenty minutes mostly. Its has become just embarassing. So now we outsourced the subtitle job to somebody who comes back with a srt file I then enter in belle nuit then I export a suite of SRT graphic files that I bring into DVDSP. It works fine but
the graphic quality of the subtitles in so lousy compared to what I had before in FCP, its pixellised, its looks awful.
Has anybody a suggestion to make this better ? Would it be better for instance if I exported an XML file from belle nuit and then import it in THE FCPRO timeline instead ?
I know this question ha probably been asked before so I am sorry if I am not being relevant here.
    Cheers
    Jean

why do you need to use graphic files. Have you tried just bringing in the srt file from the Subtitling company?

Yes I tried. Apparently DVDSP doesn’t recognize srt files. But if U paste them in a text file he does. So I did it, U can even edit the text files inside of DVDSP then. The problem is the fonts then look even worse than the exported graphic files from belle nuit. Am I missing something in SDVDPRO ? I mean maybe there is an antialiasing function somewhere ? Of course I would rather import text files because then I could correct not only duration of titles but also typographic errors.
