Hi Stuart,
Thank you for your post.
Surely with out third party plugins AE is capable of pulling such a simple key?
I have got most of the way there with Keylight however tweaking the sample based on hue &/or saturation independent of luminosity is not possible.Cheers,

Thanks Chris…….. #3 on your list most appealing for minor overall tweaks how ever how would we achieve this without Color Finesse??

February 23, 2009 at 5:40 pm in reply to: Revealing Lens Flares from Behind Footage ElementsThanks for posting Gary……..Knoll not quite in the budget.
Spent some more time with the tutorial mentioned above and was able to get most of the way there exept we can’t for the life of us get the flare brightness to actual ‘0’. The lowest brightness when appearing behind an object is 7%. Close but no cigar…….
Any thoughts?Best,

FPS no problem……source material is 24 FPS Progressive.
I am on the right track since I have been using the work flow you describe above however here is where my confusion stems from:
Rendering an SD comp as you describe indeed yields a PAR accurate file. QT plays it distorted which makes sense since it is displaying Square pixels but when I bring this SD file into compressor to convert to H264 the resulting 264 file is distorted as well even though Compressor is interpreting my source as having a PAR of 1.111. Do I need to have Compressor convert back to square pixels for web display? If so how might this be achieved.Best,

Thanks guys…….given this is an older monitor but it has not been used much.
When D65 is selected for Color Temp all green drops out including the green horizontal line along the top of the CRT. Attempting to reset User Color Temp in an effort to get something usable.
What is considered a viable LCD alternative for Analog Component SD?Best,

Thanks Shane……….it’s my understanding that MXO will provide 1 to 1 pixel viewing for SD on the ACD not just stretched to fit? Given it would be a relatively small image but that’s what we are used to monitoring in AE.
Curious also if MXO provides color accuracy continuity between applications on our system? In other words a 10-Bit Quicktime played back from the Final Cut time line will look identical when played back from Apple Color, Quicktime & After Effects via the MXO?Best,
