    Hi Guys,
Looking for instructions on how to ‘reset’ our Sony PVM-14M2U broadcast monitor back to factory specs.

    Thoughts most appreciated.

My 14L5 has a RESET button on the bottom left of the monitor. I’m not about to press it to see what it does though..

It’s the editor ejection seat. JOb getting to ya? Stressed out? hit reset and you’re blasted out of the building and hopefully parachuted to the beach.

    why Jay –
is your monitor looking washed out. Are your blacks looking more “green” than black. Are you getting some multi colored skinny lines at the top of your screen ?

Guess what – your monitor is getting old, and these are all symptoms of the PVM-14M2U and PVM-20M2U (and M4U series as well).

The latest generation of PVM’s – the PVM-20L5/1 and PVM-14L5/1 are still looking ok, but they aint’ no spring chickens either, and guess what – TUBES WEAR OUT. Guess it’s gonna be LCD time for you sooner than you wanted it to be.

Thanks guys…….given this is an older monitor but it has not been used much.
When D65 is selected for Color Temp all green drops out including the green horizontal line along the top of the CRT. Attempting to reset User Color Temp in an effort to get something usable.
What is considered a viable LCD alternative for Analog Component SD?
