February 5, 2013 at 3:26 am in reply to: Naming Convention and TC

Well i came from TK suites where we use to set 01:00:00:00 to Labroll1 and 02:00:00:00 to labroll2. So i didn’t found why it will be useless to have an unique TC for each card as soon as i have no 24 cards.

I understand A B C for naming the cameras, and maintain the C001 continuously from day to day. But the TC i’m not sure, as when conforming some clients send me just the files and if the TC is overlapping one file to other it bring me conflicts, so that’s why i ask for new TC on each card.

card 25 will have to be TC 01:00:00:00 again, on my naming convention sys.
Any one could share more experiences? or info…

    I’m thinking try this:

    2 gtx690 on cubix
    mac with GUi5770-cubix-redrocket-BM3d

(the config guide say just one gtx690, is my only doubt)

October 20, 2012 at 4:35 am in reply to: Tiny scopes on each new session…

Hi dwaine, since you start with the forums in BM write some mails but no reply (it was NAB time also) so i thought the mail support was no longer a way to ask for support, but as i saw it still work.

The tiny scopes are really weird, it’s the 3rd suite i update and the 3 same issue with scopes.

However since i know resolve, and with my telecines (renaissance, 2kplus) suites man you give me the best support i ever dream.

  • Hi could you explain this technique: Overlay as Matte in Track mode. Some client ask if i have a buttom to add grain, i always say “do it in post” no on resolve. However i thought ic could be done adding a new video track on the conform and setting it to overlay or something. Is that what you mean? (i’m confuse with “track” word too many concepts on R9 -video track conform-track node-track window)

    Regards

we just have decided to dimmer out the gui as we grade, to don’t be disturb by it (and also to don’t create confusion with client on color grading choice “which monitor to believe discussion”)
