Looking for reasonable priced Film Grain Grayscales & Light Leaks (Specific Stocks?)
Been googling this for about 20 minutes, and can’t find anything I love, so was wondering if this community had something…
Looking for blank film grain.
at at least 1080p, pref 4k.Gray Card or Black, just something I can create external mattes from for DaVinci, as well as use in compositing.
I’d love specific stocks (16mm reversal stocks Tri-X, as well as some finer 35mm Vision or some Fuji as well)
I’d love to have light leaks as well.
I’m looking for footage, not plugins. I hate how plugin grain looks in general, and I’m looking for something reasonably priced, as this project is already maxxed budget… but it’s stuff I’d like to have in my arsenal…
Anyone have any recommendations?
found indiescans.com by searching this forum… they’re just a bit pricey… anything more reasonable out there?

We are using Cinegrain together with Juans “Overlay as Matte in Track mode” technique.

Realtime, awesome quality, you just need to adjust Contrast and Saturation on the node fed by the grain plates.
You will surely find a package with a price that fits your budget.A slice of color…

Yeah… looking like I might pick up the indie bundle for this project. Don’t care about the looks, but like all the various light leaks.

Hi Joseph,
I just picked up the Cinegrain indie bundle for a specific project last week, and we were all impressed by the feel (projected nice and large). Mostly were only using the clean grain patterns, but the roll outs etc. look fun as well.

Hi could you explain this technique: Overlay as Matte in Track mode. Some client ask if i have a buttom to add grain, i always say “do it in post” no on resolve. However i thought ic could be done adding a new video track on the conform and setting it to overlay or something. Is that what you mean? (i’m confuse with “track” word too many concepts on R9 -video track conform-track node-track window)

If you’re looking for low cost check out crumple pop grain 35. Not as many types of stock as some other collections but very affordable.
They also have a light leaks pack.

To use in track mode add the matte without selecting a clip in the media page, that will make it an ext matte in the track mode, so you can add grain throughout.
