    Hi,

I just installed DaVinci Resolve 9.1.3 and it looks okay apart from one problem. I have two video cards installed: GeForce GTX 660 and GT 630. Resolve chose GTX 660, the faster of the two, to process GUI, and the slower one to process images, as shown here:

Is there a way to switch between the cards? Does Resolve know better than me?

I did install GTX 660 on the first slot on my motherboard. Apparently Resolve takes notice of that (I briefly read their building guide).

    Thanks,
    Asaf.

Try swapping your display cable to the other card.

I can’t do that. The monitors are connected in descending quality – the main monitor is connected with a DisplayPort cable to the GTX 660.

I can’t. I have three displays. One on DP, one on HDMI and one on DVI, all divided between the two cards.

Then you’re not going to be happy with what resolve does. Why ask a question on here and then just ignore the answer? You want a fix to your problem, that’s it. Don’t connect a monitor to the card you want to process with. Read the Resolve config guide for more information.

Hey, Juan. I’m sorry but I didn’t mean to ignore your suggestions. I just said what my constraints are and I hoped there was some way to trick Resolve into switching between the GPUs.

Only now after rethinking the whole thing I understand the logic behind Resolve’s choices. If I understood you guys correctly, Resolve assigns the GUI to the GPU that is connected to the display. I see it now.

    Thanks for your help!
