Building a new suite on mac, an i wonder if i can setup the cubix with 1RedRocket 1 nvidia4000 (which 2 card already have) and buy a GTX690 to power up the resolve 902 on mac 10.8.2.

What do you think, it will work fine?

As far as I know, Resolve is limited to slowest GPU, so if there are 3 different all 3 will work as the slowest one. More than 3 GPUs and one GUI cards are not supported in Mac and Win Resolve, for more than 3 GPUs you would need Linux version.

And I think you could sell the 4000 and get two gtx570 for the money, and buy another gtx570 for $300us and be rocking

    If you can
When rendering with 3gpu in the cubix it draws a lot of power, but it should work either way. Red rockets like 8x slots, so may be better in cubix…try them both. But careful moving that red rocket around!!

    I’m thinking try this:

    2 gtx690 on cubix
    mac with GUi5770-cubix-redrocket-BM3d

(the config guide say just one gtx690, is my only doubt)

Multiple 680s work fine. I would recommend those. They generally out perform the 690s in Resolve. Also get the 4GB 680 version. BTW, the 580s are slightly better than the 680s.

Sure, you can go with 3x GTX 680 + rocket. If you have slot might be better to put rocket internally. But it will work in cubix.
