Thanks Jeremy. You are right about the 1.333 for HD and 1.000 for SD…that threw me off. I have to make the footage available for broadcast TV, and locally most stations are still SD but some are HD, that is why I have to change it…

Keep the saved files of the projects you are working on put them in another folder and try uninstalling the program and installing it again, then go to the link and get the updated patch. Hopefully that will help. What kind of video files are you editing with? Is it HD? M2T?

Weird…is there anything plugged into your computer…like an Ipod, or a USB. For some weird reason, when I have something like that plugged in Vegas won’t load all the way, and when I unplug the USB or Ipod it loads fine…weird.

This is a great program and very easy to use. It will convert your video to FLV.

Just drop the video in, indicate that you want either a SWF or FLV file, change the width and height (I usually go 640×480) and the KBPS (I usually go around 1400) and you are good to go. I tested out many flash converters and this one if my favorite.

Thanks for the reply. So essentially M2T is higher quality, even with the same specs? I have noticed that MP4 and M2T export similar quality. I can handle M2T fine, it’s my Mac friends that can’t.

I am using Vegas 8.1 and I stripped down Vista to run almost exactly like XP. I disabled all the visual effects and optimized it for editing. I am also getting faster render times…
