Got that working. I’ve used that technique many times before. Not sure what was going on with it but it’s working now. But my new question is… is it possible to link position, scale and rotation to an effect? I’ve got a null with tracking data and an effect on an adjustment layer. linking the adjustment layer to the null doesn’t do anything so I’m trying to link the effect. thanks.

Thanks. Not sure what was going on since I’ve used that same technique many times before but whatever it was it’s working now.

I could do it that way but that doesn’t really answer my question. Disregard the Conform. Why would any clip on a video layer above another when scaled down not reveal the video layer or track below it? I’ve done it in the past and it worked but I havent done anything different this time around as far as I can tell.

I’m having the same problem. I went from Premiere Pro CC to DaVinci, then created an XML from DaVinci and tried to import into Premiere Pro CC. All I’m getting is a General Error and nothing is imported. That same XML has no problem importing into FCP 7. Has anyone figured this out yet? Would be surprised if this hasn’t been fixed since this thread started 2 years ago.

Here’s another option that could fix this problem. This can also be used to remedy many other problems. Hope this helps.

  • It runs terrible for me but I’m also on a fairly old graphics card. I’m running FCP 7 with an AJA KONA LHi. however, it ran ok before the switch to mountain lion.

    Nice! 🙂

So am I correct to assume that there’s no way to get this to work with a 3D layer?
