So I’ve successfully conformed my Avid sequence back to the original R3D files and I wanted to do a Conform Check by bringing in the reference QuickTime and editing it into the video track above my conformed R3D Media. Once my QuickTime is cut in I then tried to re-size the QuickTime to make it smaller and move it down and out of the way so I could see my R3D Media below it. I’ve had sucess doing this once before but now all I get is black below my re-sized QuickTime. I’m new to re-sizing in Resolve so it’s most likely something I’m doing wrong. Also, is there a way to grab the box and re-size in the Sizing pane or do I have to use the sliders. I’ve been re-sizing using “Input Sizing” but I’ve also tried all the other options. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Why don’t you just us the link offline option. Page 307 of the manual.

I could do it that way but that doesn’t really answer my question. Disregard the Conform. Why would any clip on a video layer above another when scaled down not reveal the video layer or track below it? I’ve done it in the past and it worked but I havent done anything different this time around as far as I can tell.

Probably edit sizing vs input sizing.

Better yet use the “difference” composite mode to compare them. makes finding slippage problems much easier.

Pretty sure you need to add an alpha output to the top qt track…
