While exporting a XML file from FCP7 into premiere pro CS5 it consistently fails to import it.

It tells me that ‘The project could not be loaded, it may be damaged or contain outdated elements’

So I’ve tried previous versions of XML (instead of XML 5) but still nothing works.

It seems to want to reference some kind of temporary file that doesn’t exist on my hard drive.

    What version are you using?
    Is it the latest update?

    Premier 5.0.4

FCP 7.0.3 if that helps i guess.

It’s also worth noting that this is a recent thing.

I think it’s in Adobe Premiere’s XML import engine.. I’m getting the same issue when i try to bring in a Davinci xml.

Has anyone figured anything out about this error? I still cannot import FCP XML into Adobe

I’m having the same problem. I went from Premiere Pro CC to DaVinci, then created an XML from DaVinci and tried to import into Premiere Pro CC. All I’m getting is a General Error and nothing is imported. That same XML has no problem importing into FCP 7. Has anyone figured this out yet? Would be surprised if this hasn’t been fixed since this thread started 2 years ago.
