Sounds like u have some corruption in your original file.
Also, NEVER save over ur original file, always “save as” when revising a source…that should be standard practice.
When changing things in qt7 you always have to “save as”
For example, if u trim a 1gb (10min) file down to just a few seconds and simply save, it will still be a gig, u have to save as to trim the size down.

Just tested this and actually, there’s no need to press option…just the left and right arrows collapse and expand.

I use this as well…but I’m confused that it doesn’t seem to affect clips in the primary or secondary storylines?
This seems like an oversight…I want to minimize everything. I rather like doing this by roles…I can work on tweaking VO levels…then minimize all VO. It’s pretty slick. (unless it’s in a storyline! 🙂 haha…

I was racking my brain last night Shane, and was wondering if there a way to essentially do a multiclip sequence without using multiclips?
I’d like to do this because it’s working to create a multiclip sequence of video and of audio. I then want to fix the TC drift by simpy dragging, then create new merged clips.
Problem is that I can’t create merged clips from the timeline with multiclips.

I just went to modify->TC and changed it, now everything is working correctly.

I totally agree, crazy to download gigs and gigs…every time u want a fresh install. I have a “lion boot” USB drive now and it works great. Just installed lion on a ssd with my USB drive and it loaded lion under 10 minutes. Amazing!

I’m not looking to preview full frame or full res, I just need to edit some with watching playback on screen so I don’t have to back away to watch on client monitor.
