  • I found a great link on keeping install file and making a disk image to a jump drive. If u cancel lion installer and then click on the app (show package contents) inside contents>shared support. There is a disk image. Thats all u need.

  • No shane, I mean in the “AV Devices” tab under Audio Video settings. “mirror on desktop” it plays the canvas back on your local computer monitor AND to your external monitor with it turned on. I’m having issues with an update to Lion I helped with and it was working correctly on Leopard.

I keep mine turned off on snow leopard. So on my local computer monitor, it stays a still frame but updates when I pause the video.

I think you can use Quicktime 7 to do this.

If you look at clip properties, you’ll see that you have video track / audio tracks / and on your source you’ll have timecode track.

Just copy it from the source clip and paste it to the rendered file.

Fcpx conforms frame rates in the timeline on the fly…it’s smoother than I’ve seen before

  • Fcpx has conforming in the timeline. It’s really impressive.

In fcpx, things are independent from project to browser…it doesn’t ripple. I’m curious if there is a way to do this as well…I’d love to have a “used” rating in addition to rejected and favorite that is automatically applied to used portions…

I’m guessing u put fcpx on ur machine? It moved all old fcs apps into a subfolder and the updated can’t find them. There is a post I was a part of awhile ago on here…search for it.

It’s a Qmaster vs compressor version issue. 3.5 vs 3.53 they have to match

My version had the same problem probably 3 times. Every time I’ve emailed tech support, they’ve fixed the problem within one day. Every time the problem happened…FCPX had just crashed…
