February 5, 2017 at 4:04 pm in reply to: Capturing analogue video (VHS) into Premiere – best workflow advice?I’m hesitant to say a different transverter will work due to TBC errors in your VHS deck. I have heard that sometimes using a camcorder with composite or SVideo input, in EE mode, and taking Firewire out sometimes minimizes some of the TBC error…
Hopefully your tapes are first generation, and not ‘dubs’…. Dubs create all sorts of problems due to multiple TBC errors all beating against one another….

Using an I7 2630QM processor with CS6… Dell XPS 702x laptop. Very happy with the results… compared to dual Core laptop that preceded it…. which even with Ram and CPU upgrade was very tired… Home/Hobby use here –1080i is max resolution.
P.S. Though I’m not a fan of this… I did edit the GeForce 555M into Cuda list, and I was very much impressed with the results… Have not (Yet) been able to break it!!! :)!Looking for 1939 Indian Motocycle

I can further state that I’ve used 40Mb/sec Sequence settings as well… NO PROBLEMS…

It is less apt to be a burner than a player issue, but, I’d check there, too. I, personally have not had a disc play issue in my Sony S550 on multiple types of BR media created with Encore.

Any advice?Rachel… I have that Exact same SONY Player at home! I have been successfully making BluRay’s since CS5 or before (I forgot when I started doing BR).
Two things to check… and they are both firmware!
Make certain your Recorder has the latest firmware (You have control over this!)
Second.. Make Certain the Player has firmware to support the media you have given them!
I can Guarantee you that I do not have any issues from BR on my Sony BDP-S550!
I haven’t done a firmware update in over a year, but even then I didn’t have an issue.
I just checked… Our BDP-S550 has V7.4.024 in it.
Have them check in the menu. It may just need a firmware update

I have CS6 Master and W7-64, (I boot off SCSI, not SSD, but encountered same issuses as you did and have it down to ~120Gb used out of 146Gb), but I hear SSD’s want 20% free space, so I’d say minimum is 256Gb
