This is a scam guys. Save your money and buy it frm an authorized reseller. With the new free 8GB card, you wouldn’t want your self to be in a position of not qualifying for that because you bought a gray market. I think this is the guy, that sells all the components seperately, battery, AC adapter, insurance. Get a good price from an authorized dealer and you will be good to go.

I am not sure what you are seeing here, sounds odd. But here is my suggestion. Call the Panasonic Service Center in Secaucus. (201) 348-7975. Tell them that you have this problem and you would like to have your camera fixed. Record the problem onto a DV tape. I am assuming that the camera will do it in any mode. If not and only in HD, then record it and downconvert to a DV tape. Send the recording and the camera to Panasonic to have it looked at.

There is remote iris control on the HVX. And I might concur with the stabilization. I know that if you have the OIS on while the camera is on a tripod, this is a disaster waiting to happen. If the Tyler nose mount is very stabile, you will not need the OIS, and it could work against you, just as it does on the tripod.

I think at that price you are about to be scammed. The going rate for a US camera with $350 Rebate, Panasonic warranty, DVX Book, Magic Bullet and Instant HD is around, $3200. Anything less than that you will a gray market piece.

It sounds as though you have the OIS on yet, you are on a tripod. This is not a good combo. Turn off the OIS while using a tripod.
