Small jumps while panning

You need to turn the OIS off.

If you are panning on a tripod, you will get those stabilizer “jumps” with the OIS on. Always shoot with it off for tripod shots.

Ok, i did that today and took care of the problem. Now, when i shoot with the OIS on it happens. You can see the sight jumps once in a while. So you guys are saying that this is normal? I never saw it on my 100A.

That’s what I’m seeing also, I see it sometimes with the camera mounted on my Steadicam Merlin. Guess we’ll start using the camera without OIS.

Anyone else experiencing this?????? I am shooting 1080i60i. With OIS on Sometimes i see small jumps in the picture. With out it is much better, but i saw in a few clip while zooming out a jitter also. Anyone experienced this??? i will test it again and making sure the servo is locked well.

HI,

It sounds as though you have the OIS on yet, you are on a tripod. This is not a good combo. Turn off the OIS while using a tripod.

i have done a series of tests with and without tripod with and without OIS. I tested with 2 similar cameras. I would let you know about the results.
