I’ve found some extremely cheap HVX 200 at online stores…..I just got a quote from a retailer in my area, and it was WAY more expensive than these online stores……anybody have any warnings if I decide to try these online stores? Any suggestions for specific stores that are trustworthy?

DO NOT buy from a store that is not an authorized panasonic re-seller. There are many online stores that advertise very low prices but they are usually selling grey market goods. They also have a habit of advertising the camera at a low price but then charge you a lot for extras you will need that normally come with the camera from an authorized dealer. Things like a battery, charger, remote, lens hood, etc. etc. By the time you get your credit card statement you’ll realize you ended up paying more and you will not have any panasonic warrantee. Before you buy from any online store I suggest you check them out on

If you do not buy from a Panasonic authorized reseller, you should just throw your money out the car window.

Resellerratings.com is a good source for feedback for these so called cheap sites

Moreover, you get a free 8Gb p2 card if you buy Panasonic authorized before year’s end.

    Don’t waste your money.

Go here and find a dealer: https://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ModelDetail?displayTab=O&storeId=11201&catalogId=13051&itemId=93120&catGroupId=14569&modelNo=AG-HVX200&surfModel=AG-HVX200

    or buy from specialized communications

We’ve bought most of our stuff from Studio Exchange, and I’ve been very happy with their service and after sales support, (they actually will answer the phone and talk to you, what a concept!) Besides them, B&H in New York is always a safe bet. It might help if you gave the names of the places you are considering to see if any one here has dealt with them in particular.

B&H most definitely *is* an authorized dealer.
