I do believe that it is a PC only upgrade. Sorry, if I could change it I would. The only option here is to find a friend that has a PC, or go to the library and use their PC. Or you can call our service center in LA and ask them to do it.

There should be absolutely no problem at all, I swap around all the time due to the nature of my job, showing the cameras at a show. And I move cards from camera to camera all the time. I have even had AVC-I on a card along with DVCPRO HD.

I think your problem is more FCP based. Check out Barry’s suggestion. I think that should work to get you your clips.

Hi John,

You don’t mention which camera and the only camera that we have that doesn’t have a AB tap is the HVX200 and that is mostly because there really isn’t a way to mount the AB battery anywhere nar the camera. The others have it on the Gold Mount itself.

I believe it was just a good quality HD lens. I’ll check to be sure butif you go to the Abel Event Steve Cooperman will be there and he was actually at the shoot. He certainly would know.

That would be in the neigborhood of being correct.

Barry is correct about feeding the info back to Apple, as they really will only do something if their customers complain directly. I actually had one of their reps show me that because you can export the XML out of the time line and thus look at the metadata as if it were a page of computer programming that this was exactly what I was asking for. And he was dead serious. He din’t have much to say about the fact that you didn’t have access to the only line of metadata that was able to increment the User Clip Name. I mean it isn’t even imported.

I guess I wasn’t very convincing that their customers would like something more than this. So please feed back directly to Apple that you want this metadata.

I also wanted to mention to you that by putting your Time of Day into the UserBits, that does annihilate the Frame Rate Data, which may not be important on this shoot, but may be on the next where you want to shoot and marry up with Varicam footage. Or you want to shoot with the FS100 and have it do VFR. That user bit setting has to be on Frame Rate. Don’t forget to put it back to the default.

Hi guys,

Let’s pull this thread back to what started it the AJ-HPX3000 cacorder. Frankly I have never seen such a gorgeous luscious picture delivered in 100 Mbs in my life! It looks like HDD5. The guys did this showgirl with feathers doing a dance against a green screen, ubelievable. I asked them to limit this part of the demo real because the guys looking at it were no longer looking at camera quality, if you know what I mean. Then the footage goes to a restaurnt scene and there was easily 3 stops of light under the table to play with.

I believe this camera will be at the Abel CineTech,Los Angeles, P2 HD Clinic next week for those that want to get a looksee on the product. And the footage I mentioned should be there as well. It will probably be at the Birns and Sawyer event the following week as well.

Hi,

There must be something more to it Noah as the documentation on page 21 of the AG-DVX100B Operations Manual shows 330 minutes, 5.5 hours, without the LCD and 300 minutes, 5 hours, with the LCD. It doesn’t offer a figure for the situation if you, but my own experience tells me that the number drops to about 3 hours if both are on.
