Can you use the same P2 card in a HPX500 and HVX200 before offloading?

I’m getting some errors on the FCP studio 2 log and transfer window on certain clips. only random clips on two cards that had been swapped between an HPX500 and an HVX200.

I offloaded the content onto a laptop and then formated the cards in the camera to be recorded with and then repeated these steps.

Is anyone seeing an issue with this?

FYI – the cameras both have the newest firmware updates.

I’ve transferred cards from one to the other before taking it to the computer, no problem.

Download the trial of raylight or p2 log pro and see if it can handle the importing of the clips that FCP is failing on.

I’d think in general you’ll be better off not swapping cards between those cameras with clips on them. Surely if you can afford both of those cams a few extra cards or hands to field transfer could be accommodated.

I have the HPX2000 and a HVX200. I swap the cards and had no problems. The oly problem I had was when I shot 24pn in the 200 the 2000 did not reconize it. I have updated the new software to the 2000.and have not checked since the upgrade. Will check tomorrow.

    Hi,

There should be absolutely no problem at all, I swap around all the time due to the nature of my job, showing the cameras at a show. And I move cards from camera to camera all the time. I have even had AVC-I on a card along with DVCPRO HD.

I think your problem is more FCP based. Check out Barry’s suggestion. I think that should work to get you your clips.

    Best,
