I’ll start this by asking the obvious questions. Have you checked the position of the lights? The intensity? Are they pointed in the proper direction? Is there some type of layer in the way? Look for the easiest answers first, you may have inadvertently moved the position of some thing or other. I find that usually it’s something like that.

What happens if you add an ambient light to the mix and crank the intensity way up?

As for cross posting, I tend to disagree with you on this one, Mylenium. If I am researching for an answer to a question and I only post to one forum and then wait until I get an answer from that one forum that would not be very efficient. A number of people that use Cgtalk may not utilize Creative Cow and vice versa. This allows me to get the most mileage out of a problem’s solution by getting a larger amount of different people responding. Especially if you are working on a contract with a client waiting for his ad , time is very important.

I do however try not to double post on the same forum.

I mean no disrespect with this post.

You could add a beveled edge to the layer’s alpha of the logo and then animate the position of the shadow with in the bevel, to try and match the light sweep motion. Adding a bevel onto the logo that already has one built in may look weird but if you could make the logo flat and then add a beveled edge in AE then it may look ok. Could also try a drop shadow and do the same with it’s shadows position.

This looks pretty cool. I have gotten as far as the making the matte for the three different channels. At least I think I did it right. I duplicated the three channels that I have made. red, green, and blue. Then I made the bottom ones have a track matte with it set to Luma Matte. Is that Correct?

Now how does one combine the red and blue to go over the green like they do in the video? And further how do they then combine the the last stage to make the final look? I haven’t delved into this end of After effects before so I am quite in the dark about this.

Sorry, I meant that you have to change the composition to 15 FPS, AE interpreted the footage correctly that’s why you have the color bars. Until you change the Comp settings 15 you’ll get the bars

Just re-interpret the footage and change the frame rate to 15fps.
