I’m planning to build a new system anyway, now I have some guidelines to consider. I checked that Highpoint Raid cards have good reviews and a very affordable price, that’s just what I need. Thanks!

October 22, 2012 at 5:21 am in reply to: In DVDA adding second audio track makes the project 2 times larger?Hi!
Actually I added the tracks properly, but I figured it out, the culprit is DVDA, showing incorrect values. When I added the required track to all places needed, it started to again show proper values. Anyway, at least it works!
Thanks for trying though.

Hi Joe!
Thanks for writing, that made me check the thing over again. Yes, the answer is no. I do use Vegas 11 now and that’s because of the Titles and Text(in Vegas 10 it’s simply called Text) plugin. It’s somewhat better than in version 10, although still no support for dashes and window size is annoying. I have to use a short dash instead of a long one. Yes, Sony has the protype titler, but the problem for me is that it’s quite a demanding plugin and I don’t want to prolong my renderings. I just made a test, using one and the same clip and the titles, but one with ProType and the other with the Titles and Text. Guess what, Protype titler took two and half times more time to render.
Clip is 23 sec long.
Titles & Text render: 16 sec
ProType render: 40 secI want something light and fast, no extra’s needed. Of course, Sony didn’t answer my complain about it and neither did fix it in upcoming versions.
Why it’s so difficult to realize the importance of good user support? That’s one of the most important part of selling a product, otherwise who will buy it? And how it will be developed?Maybe I’m too lazy to get in contact with them? Is there a better way to do that except the complaining report form?

Thank you very much for the help. That really does a great job!

Hey, that’s pretty good! Thanks for the help! That’s much better than I could do, thanks for the tip.
I think I saw somewhere an effect from the Boris Continuum package which made colors nice rich, although it can be pretty much also achieved with the levels.

January 15, 2012 at 5:18 am in reply to: How to add borders to avoid overscan to an already cropped video?Ok, thanks. I’ll go without the borders then. And I guess those old crt tv’s are quite rare now, so better leave it as it is.

December 30, 2011 at 2:51 am in reply to: How to make video stable “stickin” onto certain framesize?Yes, manually it can be done, but that’s a whole lot of effort, the whole video is zooming in and out.
Motion tracking software? I have to see what is that.
If I have to convince my boss of something needful, he will buy it for me, but it should do the job.

December 28, 2011 at 5:28 am in reply to: vegas pro 11 titles & text, can it be done easier?Ok, did a little research, so DVDA wouldn’t go since it’s too basic for the subtitles, I need a shadow function and it’s not there, simple outline is not good. So I guess burning in the subtitles is the way to go. I don’t mind that since my material will be hardly understandable without them and I would like to keep them on all time.
Btw. I found how to paste generated media in a more easy way, that’s through Paste Repeat (Ctrl+B). In that way I can fill the track up and use those clips for subtitles, if I’ll continue in this way.
And, Sony should add Em Dash to the characters of the plug in.

December 28, 2011 at 3:04 am in reply to: vegas pro 11 titles & text, can it be done easier?Oh, I see, I’m not quite on the track with the whole thing then. What would you suggest, what is the best way to go about it? As I understand, I could create subtitles in DVD Architect? I have to check it out. I don’t need all the fancy stuff, just simple thing which works.
