vegas pro 11 titles & text, can it be done easier?

I like updated Titles & text plug-in in Vegas Pro 11, but there’s some things that make subtitling tedious and I hope can be done more effectively.First question is that can I switch of the message which always appears when trying to make a copy of a gen. media on the timeline. “One or more events you have chosen contains generated media. What do you want to do?” And then the options of creating a new copy or a reference.
Can it be set to create a new copy by default?
Another option I cannot figure out is that when I make a copy of a subtitle clip, can I assign a shortcut key to make the properties of the clip open up automatically? That’s always another extra move in the process.
And third is that seems like this Titles & Text plugin doesn’t support all the standard characters like em dash which I need.
I like the simplicity of the plug-in, but without the em dash and the above extra steps it makes it difficult to use.
Any help on these issues or maybe some other plug-in I should try for subtitling?
Btw. This Newblue subtitling plugin that vegas pro 11 is supporting simply crashes, so I didn’t even get to try it.

I an new Vegas user, so take this just as a comment and as a complement of your question once I am having similar experience.
I tried to create subtitle direct in the software but it was annoying and hard-work. Besides,I am trying develop subtitle in two different languages.
I found information about creating subtitle outside the editing software using dedicated make-subtitle software. The two

Does anyone know if it could be a easier way

The Sony Titles & Text tool is not designed for, nor is it the proper way to create, subtitles. Subtitles are created using Markers and are metadata that is used by the playback device (usually a DVD player) which displays the subtitles so that they can be turned on and off. This is why it’s not easy to use for subtitles. It was designed for the occasional opening and closing titles in a show. Vegas also supports closed captioning which is different than subtitles.

Oh, I see, I’m not quite on the track with the whole thing then. What would you suggest, what is the best way to go about it? As I understand, I could create subtitles in DVD Architect? I have to check it out. I don’t need all the fancy stuff, just simple thing which works.

Ok, did a little research, so DVDA wouldn’t go since it’s too basic for the subtitles, I need a shadow function and it’s not there, simple outline is not good. So I guess burning in the subtitles is the way to go. I don’t mind that since my material will be hardly understandable without them and I would like to keep them on all time.
Btw. I found how to paste generated media in a more easy way, that’s through Paste Repeat (Ctrl+B). In that way I can fill the track up and use those clips for subtitles, if I’ll continue in this way.
And, Sony should add Em Dash to the characters of the plug in.

Good idea, then you just need to change the text.
