But it does not do a good job of interlacing.
Some how you need to convert 60i to 60p.
That might be tough. At least you are
going from 1080i to 720p.
Just try putting one of your 1080i
clips in the sequence and just trying
a deinterlace. You might need to try
Cinema tools or Shake as well.
I just did a test, you do not need LASTCLIP.txt to import P2 into FCP.
The LASTCLIP.txt is unique to each P2 card you shoot.
Open up some LASTCLIP.txt and you will see it
does have the clip number of the lastclip in
your video folder contained in the CONTENTS folder.
That is what I will do….
In the AE 7 Manual Page. 87
*You can import sequences ofcamera raw files in the same way you imort sequences of
still image files.
The easiest thing to do is create a new folder on your harddrive:
label it P2_DVD – then copy the CONTENTS folder and LASTCLIP.txt (if there is one)
to this new folder.
Then import>P2>P2_DVD
When you export the QT reference .mov just ask them what codec they prefer.
I sent one the other day as H.264 and the audio studio was still
behind as far as Max OS and QT. I sent then a QT encoded with Sorensen
and burned-in a TC window.
