“Unless you’re only interested in blending an image with itself,”I was under the impression that this is how most colorists/VFX artists use blending modes. People want the same functionality as the Nattress Plugins for Color. What were you thinking of?

You need to buy additional input boards for the Sony and they aren’t cheap. On top of that, the depth and weight of the monitor doesn’t make it very convenient for on-set work.

Just curious, what kind of footage are you getting realtime playback on? Standard def? I haven’t touched standard def footage in almost 3 years though, so I wouldn’t know for sure.
I get realtime playback on some HD footage before a correction but that’s almost always using the proxy playback settings.

You don’t need to use an EDL. Render out to a new folder with the same clip names and reconnect in FCP. Right click on the sequence and reconnect to the media in the new folder. If the clip names are the same as the originals it will work. I’d recommend duplicating the sequence first.

Turning the knobs quickly doesn’t seem to work on the Wave with Resolve. Have you tried turning them at a slow even pace? They do not react the same as in Apple Color so try turning them a bit slower.
