i am using cs2. i have done a a repair install, and an uninstall, reinstall.
it was really weird. it was working, then it suddenly stopped. out of nowhere. it says “Runtime Error! r6025-pure virtual function call”
i did a system restore…nothing. i just dont understand.
i am freaking out because i REALLY need one of the presests from the FFT filter (process) effect.

this is a stupid question, but you have the alpha (or luma) matte set, on the rendered layer, to track the matte layer?

ok. doing a search for *.fft produced all the noise reduction samples and stuff, but i can’t seem to locate the filter process effects. those are the ones i really need.
see thats the other problem. my stupid audition, every time i go into edit mode, has a runtime error and closes.
i never had these problems with cool edit pro.

ok. as weird as this sounds. i don’t actually have that. i cannot find it

one thing you could do is vector paint the person frame for frame and use that vector info as an emitter point for something like particular, or export an image sequence of the vector paint for particle illusion.
the other thing, equally as time consuming, is vector painting the electricity archs in vector paint.

here’s what i did for the shot in this episode: https://channel102.net/view.php?epid=206
(about two and a half minutes in)1. i set the end points at different places.
2. i drew a mask that i wanted the beams to follow.
3. i made a keyframe in “mask shape” in the mask drop down, and copied the keyframe.
4. i pasted the keyframe in the START point of the two beams. this SHOULD then put spacial keyframes into the end point.
5. tweak from there.THE BiG HONKIN’

but, it also depends on exactly what you mean by ‘hit by an electric force.

i just did some lighting with advanced lightning and a hell of a lot of vector painting in a web show i do, called “the defenders of stan”
https://channel102.net/view.php?epid=245
the lightning is somewhere towards the end. the advanced lighting is great because it will adhere itself to masks and/or alpha channels.

it can be a little from column A, a little from column B.
if you check out http://www.rosebudfestival.org and click the flash page, i did this half in after effects, half in flash.
1. i set up the main animation.
2. i broke it up into different compositions, rendering each out (this is so i can do things like “skip intro” and such and so i knew where the rose had made ONE whole turn.
3. with lots of frame counting, i set up the timeline in flash, and nested the loaded page into another movie so it would loop once the rose turned once.
