Wow! Didn’t know it. Any other issue with CC4??
I started using it today & don’t want to switch back to CC3… -
As I read, must of the changes was to PS. Neither to me, will take advantage of the small changes for Premiere.
I’m disappointed with the “multi-effects” I thought for example, that I would be able to apply a transition to multiple pictures (50 or so) in one step….. -
Do I need a PHD? Can’t follow the tutorial! Can’t make the points to decrease or increase speed. Either can’t see a black line… only a yellow one (in the timeline) but in the effects control is black but in the tutorial never mention where to you make the adjustments. I cut the clip and leave space ahead to be sure is not a problem.
Have to be a trick or something I’m omitting.Remember the days when I tried to follow Encore tutorials. Can remember the the host name) but was impossible to follow by me. Then I discover the steps by myself and was sooo easy. The training conductor was confusing and to step over and easy task. Could be same thing is happening here

Never the quality will be the same through the passes you are making.
Try to keep as simple as possible.
You didn’t mention what method you did to import. (my suggestion or thru the dvd player.)
Anyway don’t have any other idea how to overcome your problem. -
My method: Insert the dvd into the DVD tray.Don’t let it play. Right click the tray icon where the disc is located.(my computer, etc)
Right Click explore. You will see Video TS. Xfer this into one of you HD.(copy>paste) Will take some time depending of the DVD length. When finished you will see some icons depending of what software you have installed in your PC. Look for the biggest files that end in VOB. Sustitute the .vob files for .mpeg
Voila. You don’t need to xfer from a player.
This procedure is already posted some place. Do a search for better instructions.
Good luck -
If you see those lines at Encore previews, its normal.
Do your chapters, menus etc and let Encore do the automatic transcodings. -
No, nothing particular. No Matrox or anything. I have done this before.
I have no explanation.
I have 2 threads because are 2 different questions. And most people pass the page and threads goes behind.
Anyway, I’m re-editing all again.
I captured all footage again(3 hrs) and imported some folders of the previous job with titling and animations to save some work. Now there is not red timeline.
Could be some bad settings when capturing that caused all this problem.
thanks all for the help -
Weird. Where to do you have the rendered footage?(which HDisks) How many space do you have in your scratch disks?

September 3, 2008 at 11:51 pm in reply to: Best Setting for two hour DVD?—FrustratedTotally disagree! I had burned 2hrs an a half in a DVD disc and still look near identical to the raw.
If your’re using PP and Encore, export the movie as avi file (PP default) and let Encore do the proper settings to fulfill the disc at optimum quality. Encore default is automatic transcode so don’t worry to set anything.
