ok but if i downconvert how can i deliver in HD? A little lost here.

Final delivery specs are always 1920×1080 h264 23.976. We don’t have any major coloring or fx so we’re skipping HQ and working in straight ProRes….

I’ve never had a problem editing HD ProRes using the USB 2.0 port on my macbook. The problem I was having was being caused by something else and I fixed it by trashing the Prefs for FCP.

You are correct in that it’s a USB 2.0 however it edits HD ProRes footage just fine.

So this documentation talks about moving through the clip manually but would I be doing that in the layers panel or the timeline?

You can just put any eight numbers into the serial # part and it’ll give you the download link. They don’t verify it.

That’s the thing. I did link them. (Command+L) but somehow I still have to keyframe each track separately. I do recall on some past project creating a keyframe in one track and then seeing that same keyframe in all the tracks below it but for some reason that’s not happening… I’ve looked through the User Preferances and can’t find a fix for this :((
