I will probably work with all kinds of different HD footage but it would be nice to not have to deal with crazy transcodes and render times. I heard KONA helps with that for H264 compression time?

My video settings are pro res 422/1280×720/23.98/square pixel aspect. I usually never change my RT settings so I feel like I shouldnt have to touch that. I’ve done like 30 of these and all of a sudden this issue popped up. Anyone? Ideas?

Doh! Totally forgot about that. Thanks, Dave. In answer to your question about the pure white our DP was told to essentially create an apple commercial style blown out style white void space–a popular aesthetic. It was not created in post.

USB 3.0 is 5Gbps/sec.

FW800 is 800Mbps.

VERY different technologies.

USB 3.0 is many many many times faster than FW800.
