I suggest that you review the manual, throw some video on the time line and experiment. Then come back here after a week or so and ask some questions based on at least a few days of working with the product.
I agree with Steve. It sounds like you have an on board display. You most likely need a PCI card. Do you have any slots available? You need to open up that puppy and take a look.
It most likely is AGP. Does it currently have a 128MB NVidia GeForce FX 5200? I had a dual head 5200 now I have a dual 5700 w/256MB. Both worked good for what I do. Vegas doesn’t make use of the graphics card but other applications do. I would use an AGP if you can get one. Vegas would not have a problem with the card for any reason I can think of.
It depends on how much noise there is and if someone is speaking. The easiest way to remove wind noise is to find an area with no noise and copy and paste it overtop the wind noise. You can get rid of a lot of noise this way. Of course there has to be no other noises in the background like music or talking. I just got rid of a pop sound from the subject tapping the wireless mic using the same method. Watching the video it appearded that he was talking while he tapped the mic but when I expanded the track the noise was in between words. You cannot always get rid of all of it but it does help.
If you have 2 videos shot at the same time from different angles then the words should be perfect once you sync the 2 videos. You do that by picking a frame that is easy to aline. I just did one where someone had taken a flash picture and I alined the 2 videos by the single frame that had the flash. I dragged the second video track until the “flash” frame was under track one “flash” frame.
I have Excalibur 4.5 and that makes the job of switching between the 2 videos very easy. Excalibur can also be used to aline the video which is easier too. If you have have a lot of multi camera shots buy Excalibur. I did a 18 minute 2 camera video with 72 angle changes in less than 1 hour.
