I captured some video earlier today. I noticed when I did the capture, it was not playing real time in vegas as usual. I went to the clips on the HD outside of Vegas and the clips are on the HD and seemed to be captured there as normal playing them with WMV. When I load them from the media pool into the timeline, Vegas will only play about 10 sec of each clip? Any ideas? Any help appreciated.

I use a sony TRV 950 and transfer via firewire. (I am a rank amature at best) It has always worked before with no problems. The video will just play about ten seconds then stop. Even if it is playing in a blank area,it just stops.

Still not clear on a few things.

How much footage did you capture?

Did it appear to capture normally? – any dropped frames?

So, you finished with an avi of XXXX minutes. What file size?

Did it look normal on the timeline?

    – just fishing for clues …
