A+B+C=D
You want to export A, B and C. Combine them in a sequence D and export that.

Make sure you have the camera in VCR mode, not Control mode (on the dial). It only asks or drivers when it’s put in control mode.

Yes. Just export to MPEG2-DVD with AME, import into Encore and there you go. There are different workflows that may keep the quality a little better, but those are more elaborate.

Not many people have a HD/BR DVD burner to burn to or the authoring application to support that and even fewer people have a HD/BR DVD player AND a HD TV.
It makes more sense to deliver in a format that people can play.

CRT TV is interlaced. Keep it interlaced.
LCD and Plasma TV’s are progressive. De-interlace. -
Best is the Quadro FX5500, but from the ones you mentioned I would consider the GeForce 7300 or up with at least 256 MB, and the Radeon 1600+.
