When ya export a reference file, you just need to grab the video QT file to import into squeeze. It’ll bring audio with it with no worries. You can then start encoding, minimize and rock on in Avid, depending on ram, ect.

That’s just it. Avid now compairs to apps like FCP, Vegas and Premiere because those apps have evolved much quicker than Avid in the last 10 years. That just wasn’t the case back when Avid was Avid.
They’ll not recover at this point. The spiral is beyond any funky marketing tactic or price reduction that only proves what I stated above.

    seriously.

  • I pitched a campaign to Budweiser using an old hand-held 8mm camcorder. Turned out perfect. I wanted a first-person grass-roots vibe. It was the logical way to go.

    give up.
I have. If they wanted to compete they would have shown signs of it by now. I put the over/under of the big sell/merger at six months from now.

The first MC5 gave us the 3D DVE that’s still neglected.

Automatic duck or a CMX 3600 EDL. Thems yer options.
I realize we don’t always depict our workflows from the get go but, affordable as it is, man you can save a lot of time and money just starting the project in FCP when it’s final destination is FCP.
It’s funny. Back in the day, folks offlined on FCP and onlined on an Avid. Now, not only is it vice versa, there is less of a reason to start a project in Avid as each day goes by.

Sounds like you are using it as filler and that’ll affect everything under it. You are best of rendering a quicktime out of AE with motion blur turned on. You can step into the graphic and apply it, depending on what motion blur you are using, you can select alpha only. Still, AE is yer buddy.

It’s much quicker to just add edits, make gain changes and throw in a dissolve. Avid’s rubber banding is something that never evolved.
Audio in general for that matter.
