It depends on what decent is for you. I’d say the average motin designer’s salary in Austin is 50k. More if you’re above average.
Don’t go by what the norm is, go by what you need to do the job.

Cheezy is usually the goal here so I’d make the star in photoshop, import it with an alpha then just scale and rotate as desired with the DVE.

[Carol Lane] “I’m curious how other folks handle this situation. A known and loyal client calls you in for a meeting because they want you to produce a video for them. They tell you that that you are getting the job, but as a matter of course they have to interview other vendors ( uh yeah right.) Then they send you an email saying they went with someone else. How do you respond?”

Thank you for the consideration is always good. I don’t try to haggle my way into a bad situation with em. Take the high road, say thanks and wait for em to come crawling back after your aise your rates.

a simple echo or strobe will never look like stop motion. If it’s already shot, you’ll wanna go in and add position/action imperfections on certain frames to make believable. Much more time consuming than shooting them.

clone another part of the pants by duplicating the layer and masking it. You can animate a mask in AE or use reposition then nest animatte in MC.
