    Exactly as the subject!

I need to make a character have a literal twinkle in the eye in a short i’m cutting, but have no clue. Instead of stumbling around the FX palette i figured i’d try my luck here!

I’ve got Avid Media Composer 4.0 with Boris BCC. Annoyingly tho, none of the OpenGL FX will work – that’s an issue i’m also addressing, but the eye twinkle is more pressing!

    Any help is really appreciated!

Cheezy is usually the goal here so I’d make the star in photoshop, import it with an alpha then just scale and rotate as desired with the DVE.

You can do something like this believe it or not with BCC using the lens flare filter (without the flare) and just adjust the “rays” the way you want them

You could also try using any of the BCC filters that might produce a desired result and use the pixel chooser within the filter to draw a custom spline around the eyes.

A glow or lights filter might do it depending on what you are looking for.
