It’s yours, man. Seriosly. Comes with a terabyte of storage, sapphire plugins, even AE and photoshop. Heck, I’ll thow in an ol waeform monitor/vectorscpe because I won’t hae to resort to old boat anchor gear once I upgrade to an NLE tat houses scopes that read output levels.
By “rock” I mean it does what it says nicely. You know, like open captur tool, not have to reassign any decks or relaunch the app, create a new projet, throw some HD on the timeline, hit play and see it? That kind of thang. Maybe even layer som of that and not have to render. Like FCP does, basicly. Or freakin vegas. Native. No bs workarounds, no wrestling matches, no calls to avid support with them telling me I have to be in half quality mode and that the adrenaline can’t play HD footage out of the bob but can export it. Something that rocks, man. You don’t know what freakin rock means?

there ae speed/duraction/font/font size combos it simply doesn’t like sometimes. Try changing your font size one point and/or altering your duration just a bit.

each layer will have it’s own alpha channel. You do not want to cut out places on layers for oter layers as they will then have holes in them as you animate them. Think of these layers as layers of construction paper you are stacking to make one collage.

Titles vary from place to place. Art Director at one place is a one man band who handles all the static media. Art Director at another placemy be a dude who surfs the net in between handing off projects to artists. Now, Creative Director.. that’s where the moneys at. It’s vague enough that you can evolve your duties and salary over time without printin’ up new bidness cards. Sounds kinda cool too.

I plan to. I owe 18 more months of payments that are more than my house. Owing so much more than it’s worth makes it tough to trade up for FCP.
I know Avid advertises HDV native adrenaline. To me, native means plug it in and rock on so it’s not HDV native at all, imo.
I’m on the latest version but have seen no upgrades along the way. They have all been bug fixes, often intruducing different ones along the way.
If adrenaline 2.7 is the most stable version of avid you have worked on, I dare say you havn’t been on em very long. I have been in front of an Avid product since ’94. Stability has seldom been the issue with any Avid I have been on until Adrenline and that’s my biggest beef with it. Not the fact that it doesn’t do much of what is advertised but the fact that it bags me in sessions with paying clients behind me.
I stand behind what I have said all along. This software is still not ready for a v1 release to the public. -
It’s usually a motion effect on a jib shot. Hand held is too shaky to pull this off nicely and they don’t tote dollys on tese kinds of shows.
You’ll find running it at 100% then to 1000% then back to 100% produces nice results. -
bandwidth seems to be the biggest issue. There ar always probs with multipleusers in multiple rooms ot placing files in the right place, ect. but HD is a no no as far as I have seen. DV25 makes it happier.
all in all, I gotta say it’s a pretty groovy thing… at least for a tv station type of workflow. -

I think many have remained silent thinking the fixes were just around th corner. It’s been a long expensive corner here. I don’t owe Avid anythng… I owe the lending company.
and I owe em more than this thing is worth after paying for two years. 25K? nope. HDV native? not yet. DVD authoring friendly? Define friendly. Heck no, man. stable? Well, not copmaired to the good ole media composer we all knew and loved. A bg smack upside da head of all old symphony owners. Not even open handed. A straight up dukin’.
