They are riding the name of media composer as if adrenaine is an MC.
This is why it costs more than a fine new car. Also why it ruffles so many feathers. A 2k mojo is the way to go if you are getting an Avid product anywhere less than a DS Nitris.
…which i still overpriced. In my opinion, adrenaline is a tool to try to force those of us coming from a real media composer or symphony into the price point of DS.
    not gonna happen here.

When making yur rel, always show either your specialty or what yu want your specialty to be. In other words, grafik-orientedpeeps need to hav grafik heavy rels. Stpry tellers need to hilight there sto-telling. You polly wanna cut some trailers and send those out as your reel. If you wanna do shows, hilight your longform work or create some of you havn’t had the opportunity to do this yet.

    just reporting data…
did a new project using no BCC effects and had no probs with this.
I had 9 layers of sapphire coolness, motion effects, time warps, animatteness, animated hooha both within Avid’s DVE and sapphire’s and some imported movies with alphas from AE.
still, it’s a random thing so this may mean nothing but it’s looking like we may be honing in on our culprit.

    keep testing and reporting back!

Oh it’s done and out the door. I did ake the deadline. I just did it all fussy-like.
This was my first straight up subtitling gig. I didn’t even edit the piece. I did offer a flat rate thoug, estimating how long it would take and of corse, I had to eat thi mishap.
..along with the added time for mixdowns for authoring but thats a whole different gripe session.
    lol
thanks for being a kind ear, man.

I look at adrenaline as xpress pro with animatte for 45k.
I surely don’t see it as a work horse. Beating a dead horse, it’s buggy, clunky, unreliable, unpredictabe and is not yet ready to be purchsed by the public as a version one software, imo. We are all paying to beta test this product for them butt they are not soliciting our feedback.
It’s FCPs single best sales tool.

    do it overnight?
I havn’t much more than that, I’m afraid.
Exept for the bug, have you had much luck with basc editing of HD material in Adnenaline? I so, lay some more specs and details on us.
I’d still like to be able todo some HDV some day on mine. I’m not gonna write anothr check to do it to.

well, in Avi’d defense, it did indeed give me that error to read.

    and then crashed.

    and then scanned.

aaaand scanned some more. (this is always nerve racking as this is when media is lost)

then came back to my last save.

Lost about an hour all in all.

In a nutshell, this was operator error, at least until the crashing part.
    long day. had to vent.
