it’s like I just purchased windoz this mornin. All bright blue tool bars and all. Had to go in and tweek my colors and settings to my liking again. Same thing yesterday.
…and today, I noticed my lil windows in Avid pop up in the opposit monitor. The irritating locator note window that ya gotta click out of, the dissolve window, ect. All opposite of where I keep em. -
I love how we have accepted this “creative marketing” thing.
Where I come from, we just called it lieing. Punishable by law for businesses that do it to the public called false advertising.

All I know is I have a box worth 8k tops that I paid 45k for cuz I was told it’d do what it sez. Is till say Avid execs have a boatload of stock in apple and this is just part of the plan. I see nobody getting canned so somebody is making some serious cash.

I dunno if a tie in tewks hs somthing over sombody’s head or what but they make less sence to me than General Motors. I can’t believe somone is really this bad at their gig. The tanking of Avid has to be intentionl. -
dadgummit, appened agai today, then the capture tool decided to do that ole “I have no signal and can’t do aything” thing again.
I soooo hate having to reboot the bob when a client s tapping their foot behind me all like “cmon, I have freakin premiere at home and don’t have these issues.”

Hi Bill. I do not know the answer to your question but I can tell you I shoot with an FX1, live in StLouis and have never had a himidity problem (even when it’s over 90% all day). I’ve been hell on this camera too. It’s been held out of a drifting Viper, in the tub of a pro-mod dragster while it’s doing a burnout, in paint booths while they are spraying, in dust bowls, ect. Only hickup I have EVER gotten out of this 2 year old workhorse is an occasional cannot read tape error due to swapping out so many brands of tapes. I use it as playback for HDV and miniDV in the edit suite. Not optimal but it sure does go the extra mile for me.

tpes are degaused, not decks. It does sound like a head poblem though. Clean it well an try another tape. If it persists, you’ll need to take it in for some head work. Ya gettin’ any error codes?

feed it with the black burst generator.. the same one feeding the NLE.
You may find less probs with component too. The new Avids have a hard time with consumer decks and your NLE may be treaing it the same… as an asyncronous source.
