Raising rates is the best way to weed clientele. If this is your intention, yes yell it from mountain tops or at least to the ones you are weeding.
It can be a mass email or better yet, a fliar/post card they get via snail mail. Celebrate is as growing services with better gear and more capabilities for THEIR bottom line.

Your options are:
1. Remaster the episode.
2. Lay off that segment with CC included.
3. re layoff the mended area with instructions for them to lay it over the mispelled part as a PIP sized at 100% but with the VITC cropped off. This is where the cc info is held and it you maintain it from the original clip, you are fine.
This will work fine but I think they’d not like having to do that. I really think remastering the episode is your best bet. -
You can match your duration numericly. Wehen you use timewarp on a video clip, just mark an in and an out on it and look at it’s duration. Then, when you apply your audio plugin(s), you can type in this duration and have no quessing games.

It’s a metter of preference and workflow. When I edit for a client who brings elements and a script, I go by his or her log with no regard to durations of raw clips. When I edit projects I shoot, all raw clips are one hour long… the length of the tape. I use locators to mark anything I need to and this helps keeps my bins short and sweet. I always keep sperate bins for audio, grafix, broll, talkin’ heads, ect.

I think you’d only be stirring the pot in mailing them an element to have to edit into the show you were to send. Fix it and lay off a new master for em.

What makes dewolfe cool is they haggle and are happy to charge one blanket fee per production. No need to even count needle drops when that is the case. Unless a client requests a specific “raindrops keep falling on my head”, they simply don’t register it otherwise.

You can grab a textured ebject with lots of opacity and simply run it left to right in front of the camera in LW. Play with different textures and levels of opacity for the object to get different results. You can even get reflactions and such, if desired.

It’s seeing an alignment issue most likely. If you thread a few tapes through it it’ll either go away or let ya know exactly where whats wrong.

The customer is only always right when they are ordering a cheeseburger. When they are ordering a video, they are admitting they know nothing about making them…hence the hiring of profressionals.
You have to make a cheesburger their way because they usually really do know how to make one.
Good video is made by asking the client how much they have to spend and when it’s gotta be done. That’s all they need to have answers for. If they have more than that, that can grab a camcorder and a laptop and have their son crank it out for em.
Allowing a client, in this case, to prolong and consfuse the issue with a mute point only prolongs and consfuses the issue. They want a video. Make em one. -
